Adventure and Spooky fun in the past weeks

Our UE class had lots of fun in these past two weeks, and we would like to tell all of you just how much fun our class had.

First, our class went to Iron Peak. At Iron Peak, we split into two groups: group A and group B. Group A started with the high rope course, and group B started with rock climbing. After one hour, we switched. The rope course contained a skate board, a see-saw , and more. Rock climbing contained many varieties of challenges from high fear to high skill. Most of us actually really liked the ninja slope.  Click here to see the photos.

On Friday, October 30th, we had a Halloween parade. In the UE classroom, we baked apple crumble, decorated our doors with Halloween themes, engaged in some crafts, played games, listened to spooky songs, and had snacks and fun. We watched a movie in the afternoon and enjoyed some snacks offered by UE parents. Thanks! On the same day, it was also Juliette’s birthday, and we will celebrate it next week, with Kai and Bernat’s birthdays.During the past two weeks, we had three students doing their public speaking presentations: Ariya, Ashwin, and Alexandre. Ariya did her presentation on bioluminescence. She talked about how chemical reactions produce the light some animals emit, and how it doesn’t produce heat. Ashwin did his presentation on cheese. He explained how cheese was first created and how it is made, as well as many different types of cheese. Alexandre’s topic was on Math, and he talked about the origin of Math and famous mathematicians.

Last week, we also had a parent guest. Evan McGarvey, Winslow’s dad, came and spoke about writing and digital media. He also brought one book he co-wrote about two famous rappers: 2Pac and Biggie. The book is called 2Pac vs. Biggie: An Illustrated History of Rap’s Greatest Battle.

Last but not least, Scarlett and Mac were in charge of snacks, and they brought delicious snacks to the class; Gia and Scarlett brought life to the class with beautiful flower arrangements. Thanks to all families involved.
