School Spirit Day was a joyous celebration of our community and the arrival of spring. The event centered around the return of our magnificent Chinese dragon which symbolized the powerful and energetic coming of spring, and some wonderful contributions from all our programs. Brought to life by the Upper Elementary students, the colorful 20 foot dragon puppet awakened hibernating animals, and introduced poems and songs shared by Primary, Lower Elementary, and Middle School programs. With smiling children marching behind, the event culminated with the slithering dragon leading everybody back through the halls to their classrooms. Many children shared that the event made them feel happy, peaceful and connected to a larger community.
