The SummerQuest students at all levels had some special guests! Churchville Nature Center visited the school to talk to the children about reptiles and introduce them to some scaly friends. The children met several live animals: snakes, box turtles, and a blue-tongued skink, and saw firsthand what makes reptiles a fascinating and diverse family of animals. They were able to check out several reptile bones, including the scull of a crocodile and also a giant tortoise shell. They even stretched out the skin of a reticulated python (the largest snake in the world!) to see the beautiful pattern and also how big it was!
