Lower Elementary student, Sawyer, recently gave a lesson on how to make a foil packet of vegetables to cook over an open fire when camping. This was part of the 2nd year students’ (Suns) Leadership class in which they select a topic that really interests them, they research it, and then they design lessons and activities to present to the 1st year students.
Lower Elementary students celebrated National Poetry Month and Poem in Your Pocket Day on Thursday, April 21. They composed poetry about what was in their pockets and sewed pockets they could wear and carry their poetry around in. They also worked on learning to recite a poem from memory.
