Primary Visits Lower Elementary

By May 26, 2026Elementary, Primary

The Lower Elementary years see the development of social awareness, language transition, and collaborative learning. Each day is a new adventure!

Every year at this time, our third-year Primary students have the opportunity to explore their next chapter of learning by visiting Lower Elementary (LE). Kindergarteners who will be transitioning to Lower Elementary in the fall visited the classroom for a special introduction to their next program. This unique initiative fosters personal connections by pairing each student with a 2nd-grader, offering a glimpse into their future environment.

The Lower Elementary teachers introduced the theme of engineering, and the children worked alongside a LE buddy to decorate, build, and then test their own gliders outside. They ended with a snack together. Experiences like this help the children become familiar with their future classroom, build connections with teachers and peers, and feel comfortable and excited about the transition to Lower Elementary.

This wonderful experience creates the opportunity to bring the two programs together, and the children have so much fun!
